Privacy policy
The short version: we collect as little as we can, we never sell your information, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Who we are
This website, guardrailnow.org, is run by Dads Against AGI, doing business as Guard Rail Now, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 99-4857285) based at 506 South Dallas Street, Baltimore, MD 21231, USA. We produce The AI Risk Network. Questions about this policy go to admin@GuardrailNow.org.
What we collect and why
- Newsletter sign-ups. When you subscribe, your email address goes to Substack, which runs our newsletter. We use it only to send The AI Risk Network write-ups and notes. Substack's own privacy policy also applies.
- Donations. Donations are processed by Every.org. We never see your full card or bank details. Every.org may share your name, email and gift amount with us so we can thank you and send tax receipts, depending on the choices you make there.
- AI Harm Project stories. If you share a story through our form, we receive your name, email and what you write. We treat these submissions as confidential, read them only within our small team, and never publish or share a story without your clear consent.
- Emails you send us. If you write to us, we keep the conversation so we can reply.
- Usage data. We use Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement to understand, in aggregate, how people find and use the site, for example which pages are read and whether a sign-up button works. These tools use cookies and similar technologies.
What we never do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not share your email with other organizations for their own marketing.
- We do not use your information for anything unrelated to our mission.
Services we rely on
The site is hosted on Webflow. Fonts load from Google Fonts. Newsletters are sent by Substack. Donations run through Every.org. Some pages play our videos from YouTube or from our own video storage. Each of these providers handles data under its own privacy policy.
Cookies
We use cookies for analytics and to measure our ads, not to build profiles about you. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.
How long we keep it
We keep newsletter emails until you unsubscribe, donation records as long as tax law requires, and AI Harm Project submissions for as long as they are needed for the project, or until you ask us to delete them.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from any email with one click. You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing admin@GuardrailNow.org. Depending on where you live, for example in California or the European Union, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
